Reports confirm that the recent aftershock in Hatay triggered panic amongst the people, especially in children.</li><li>actionTürkiye provides an access channel to counselling and support groups, and other appropriate resources to help those affected by earthquakes deal with the psychological impact.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Over 7 million children have been affected by the massive earthquake on Feb 06, 2023 and its aftershocks in various parts of Türkiye. Schools and educational institutions have suffered extensive damage and destruction in terms of life and infrastructure.&nbsp;</li><li>Our education partners work with affected communities to provide temporary or permanent education facilities, resources, and programs. They also provide training and support for local teachers and volunteers to ensure that education can continue to be provided, even in the aftermath of a disaster. Additionally, these education partners work with local communities to develop curricula that address the specific needs of those affected by the earthquake, including topics such as disaster preparedness and trauma recovery.</li></ul>
