Bangalore, also known as Bengaluru, is the capital city of the southern Indian state of Karnataka. It is located on the Deccan Plateau in southern India. Bangalore is among the most modern and fastest-growing cities in India. It is the country's leading IT exporter, earning it the nickname 'Silicon Valley of India'. The city is known for its pleasant climate, modern infrastructure, and numerous parks and gardens. Famous landmarks include the Bangalore Palace, Lal Bagh, Cubbon Park, and Vidhana Soudha.
As per the 2011 census, Bangalore had a population of approximately 8.5 million. It is one of the most diverse cities in India, with people from across the country and even abroad residing here.
